"Put a bird on it!"

You thought I was exaggerating about the paste that is my flesh?

I've been wearing shorts outside since May, folks.

We went to Portlandia! last weekend for Jacques' birthday and we definitely didn't want to come home after our weekend full of amazing and hassle free vegan food, being able to ride a bike everywhere without feeling the need for full body armor, and not feeling guilty about wearing comfortable shoes to go out at night. Seriously, we went out on Saturday night, to a bar, a nice bar, and didn't see a single uncomfortable shoe the whole night. FTW!

Thanks to the budding photographic genius of Jacques, here are the memories to share:

glitter brick wall that has Voodoo Doughnuts inside

confirmed

yup

in case you were wondering

Petunia's Pies & Pastries... where you can get VEGAN pastries, coffee, and cocktails at 10 a.m. The place and owner are adorbz; go there.

The "coming soon" public transport and pedestrian ONLY bridge.
Icky cars aren't invited.

The spiciest margarita I've ever had... just pain and suffering and sweat.

just delightful

none of them actually open the door... mind. blown.

Don't act like you don't walk around a giant once yearly street fair in
90 degree heat in a giant beer bottle costume, pffshsh.

a "booth" at the Mississippi Ave. Street Fair

It's okay, the sign holders had handlebar mustaches.

Full sized (as opposed to fun sized?) poodle with dreads, nbd.

yup

We also went to the super cool bike exhibit at the Portland Art Museum.
This bike from the 30s will shift between two gears depending on if you're pedaling forward or backward.
Trippy.

Sizzlepie
It's vegan, so it's okay.

Portland in a nutshell.

We can confirm the dream of the 90s is alive in Portland. Of course, because we finally flew Virgin America like I've always wanted to, they come out with vegan options for in flight snacks this week... *sigh* Guess we'll have to go back.
